Architecture and art are only comprehensible as a life process. The principles of Boketo are entrenched in the idea of luxurious tranquillity. We believe in using traditional and classical inspiration to create spaces that are contemporary and minimalist. Accordingly, our interiors are dreamy and seductive, yet tailored perfectly to our client’s requirements to ensure true purpose and character.
Anchal Shamanur studied Architecture and Urban Design at the Bartlett school of architecture (University College London), but her love for interiors initiated the establishment of Boketo in 2018.
Having resided in different parts of the world, where she did her schooling in Kodaikanal International School, her undergraduate study at Newcastle University and masters the Bartlett school of Architecture, her design philosophies initially embarked her experiences though her education.
Travel was also a major influence in building her philosophy towards design, the exploration of historical influences from European architecture to the heritage architecture of Asia, helped her understand design from a cultural perspective. Thus the different spaces, materials, and details in architectural styles she has encountered are channeled into her designs. They are defined by the use of unique aesthetics with a combination of classical and contemporary elements.
